Additional shipping and handling fees may apply to products that are fragile, heavy, or especially bulky. If additional shipping or handling fees apply, this will typically be noted on the product page and/or at checkout. In some cases, however, we may need to quote you a shipping rate at the time of purchase.
We ship most orders via a trackable delivery method within 1 to 3 business days of the order date. Of course, custom made or special orders may take longer, but we’ll let you know if that’s the case. Our experience is that orders shipped to addresses within the contiguous United States typically arrive within 2 to 5 days of ship date.
Please note that sale items and trade purchases do not qualify for free shipping.
We love our stuff and hope you do too, but we understand that sometimes there may be a reason to return or exchange an item. In general, most items purchased on our website may be returned for store credit or a refund of the item's purchase price if returned within 14 days of your receipt of the item.
Returned items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging. Items returned that are not in their original packaging may be refused or subject to a restocking fee. In addition, on substantial orders of more than $500 with free shipping, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee. Unfortunately, shipping charges are not refundable and will be deducted from your refund. Return shipment costs are also the responsibility of the buyer.
Products involving assembly that are assembled are no longer considered to be in original condition and may not be returned under our policy.
Please note that furniture and lighting orders, special orders, large-volume orders, and sale items are final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges on such items.
To return or exchange an item, just follow these simple steps:
- E-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and request a return/exchange authorization so we know to expect your package.
- Package the item in a way to ensure safe transportation. Include a copy of your receipt and send to: BEAM - Returns, 240 Kent Avenue, #18, Brooklyn, NY 11249. We recommend that you insure the package and send it via a trackable delivery method, as we are not responsible for items that are damaged or lost in return shipment.
- We will inspect the returned item and if it is unused and in its original condition and packaging, we will issue a store credit or refund for the item's purchase price, less shipping costs.
All returns and exchanges will be processed expeditiously, but please allow up to 1 week for your return or exchange to be processed.
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please email us immediately at email@example.com so we can assist you.
The day your order ships, you will receive an email from us letting you know that your order is on its way, as well as a tracking link (if applicable) so you can chart its progress from us to you.
New York customers can choose to hold items for pick-up at our Williamsburg, Brooklyn store free of charge.
We currently ship to street addresses in the United States only. If you live outside the United States, and want to place an order, please get in touch with us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We’re headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, so we’re required to collect sales taxes from our New York-based customers. In New York, sales tax rates vary by county. The prices displayed on our website exclude sales taxes. If you’re in New York, sales tax will be calculated and added to your order total when you check out.
To purchase a Gift Card, please click here. Gift Cards give you the gift of choice with minimal impact on the environment. Please note that Gift Card orders are delivered by email and contain instructions on how they can be redeemed during checkout. No physical card will be administered with the purchase of our Gift Card. Gift Cards are non transferable and may not be returned or redeemed for cash (except as required by law).
